Ghost Doctor (2022)
- Cast: Rain, Kim Bum, Uee and Son Na-eun
- Genre: Fantasy / Medical Drama
- No. of Episodes: 16
- Where To Watch: Viu
Cha Young Min is a genius doctor but arrogant and selfish. One day, he gets involved in an unexpected case; his spirit possesses another doctor’s body. These two doctors are complete opposites, with personalities and medical abilities.
Actually, nung nagbabasa ako ng mga K-dramas to watch this 2022, nilagay ko na agad ito sa plan-to-watch list ko bago ko pa man mabasa yung synopsis niya, ang reason ay dahil sa dalawang bida. At hindi naman ako nadisappoint because Rain and Kim Bum did great as the main characters and their chemistry with each other made the show.
Overall K-feels – I actually, genuinely enjoyed watching this. It’s a feel good drama, simple, funny and entertaining.
Here are some medical K-dramas you can binge watch after Ghost Doctor that will make you fall in love even more with the genre.
Hospital Playlist 1 & 2 (2020 / 2021)
- Cast: Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Jung Kyung-ho, Kim Dae-myung and Jeon Mi-do
- Genre: Medical drama / Romance / Comedy / Slice-of-life
- No. of Episodes: 12 / 12
- Where To Watch: Netflix
Hospital Playlist tells the story of five doctors who have been friends since they entered medical school in 1999.
The friendship, bromance and warmth in this show is no joke. The cast is perfect. You will surely cry and laugh with them. The story is decent but it’s slow-paced which is not bad. This slice of life drama really lets people realize how important friendship is. It isn’t the typical medical drama na may hospital politics and dramatic surgery miracles. Yung friendship at bromance talaga ang dabest dito. Nakakaaliw sila. At pinakagusto ko yung bonding nila pag kumakain sila at pag may music sessions sila. Mamahalin mo talaga every single character. Di man siya yung expected ko as medical drama, pero overall it’s a good drama. Season 3 na please!
Overall K-feels – The vibes were very chill and relaxing.
Dr. Romantic 1 & 2 (2016 / 2020)

- Genre: Medical / Melodrama / Romance
- No. of Episodes: 20 / 16
- Where To Watch: Netflix / Viu
“Romantic Doctor Kim” is a “real doctor” story set in a small, humble hospital called Dol Dam Hospital. It is a story about people who meet Kim Sa Bu (Han Suk Kyu), a genius doctor, and discover “real romance.”
It’s a good series, the story line is very interesting. The medical cases are really interesting as well. It makes you always curious about what will happen next. There is little romance but its kilig naman. All the characters are likeable and had good chemistry with each other. Teacher Kim’s amazing team at Doldam was like #SquadGoals in every hospital. Ang galing lang ni Kim Sa-bu. What a character. What a performance. What a doctor. At kung magdodoctor ako nanaisin ko maging student ni Teacher Kim. Dr. Romantic is very heartwarming and teaches you so many lessons. It’s been fun watching this drama.
Overall K-feels – Dr. Romantic series is still the number 1 on my list when it comes to medical-romance drama. It’s a good drama with great cast!
Hospital Ship (2017)
- Cast: Ha Ji-won and Kang Min-hyuk
- Genre: Medical / Romance
- No. of Episodes: 40 (35mins)
- Where To Watch: Viu
While there are many hospitals in big cities, these small villages that lie within the islands have no medical care readily available to them. The Hospital Ship, which travels around the various islands to provide medical services, doesn’t have enough medical tools available. There isn’t even an operation room for emergency care. Furthermore, the doctors aren’t very experienced. It is a place where newly graduated medical school students go to serve the military. These inexperienced doctors fight a lonely battle to save the lives of people who are in need.
At the beginning the story was good, but it got down after a few episodes. The drama is definitely too long. What I liked about the drama was the moments where we got to see the Hospital Ship really shine as a family.
Overall K-feels – Not the best medical drama for me but it was quite a pleasant drama.
Doctors (2016)
- Cast: Kim Rae-won and Park Shin-hye
- Genre: Medical / Drama / Romance
- No. of Episodes: 20
- Where To Watch: Netflix / Viu
Following a tragic medical accident, Hong Ji Hong gives up on becoming a doctor. Overcome with guilt, he chooses a quiet life as a high school biology teacher. Perhaps drawn together by fate, he comes to mentor Yoo Hye Jung, a problematic student with a tough childhood. Love leaves its indelible marks and urges the two protagonists to grow and change. In a world marred by cold prejudice, love is sometimes the only medicine.
It’s a drama about personal growth and the positive effects of genuine love. This is not the medical drama for you if you’re hoping for a complex plot. This drama showed how peoples different perspectives on life, love and relationships can cause misunderstandings, hurt, anger, acceptance and can change a person’s view on things by listening to the others perspective on it.
Overall K-feels – It doesn’t have the strongest plot and the story is weak but I love the quotes/life lesson in the beginning and end of every episode. It is good but not outstanding.
Doctor Stranger (2014)
- Cast: Lee Jong-suk, Jin Se-yeon, Park Hae-jin and Kang So-Ra
- Genre: Medical / Romance
- No. of Episodes: 20
- Where To Watch: Netflix / Viu
1994, Seoul. The political relations between South Korea and North Korea are so tensed that many fear an inevitable war. Park Hoon and his father Park Cheol, a doctor, are tricked and sent to North Korea to perform an operation on its leader, in order to stop war from happening. Park Hoon is held captive in North Korea as a prisoner. He is trained by his father to become a thoracic surgeon. He flees to South Korea and works as a doctor in one of the country’s top hospitals – Myungwoo University Hospital. He struggles with his renewed freedom back home and finds himself increasingly estranged from his own home.
If you enjoy political thrillers, medical dramas or destined romance, you should check this out.
Overall K-feels – Doctor Stranger is a pretty decent medical drama and for some reason I did not get bored from watching this.
Good Doctor (2013)
- Cast: Joo Won, Moon Chae-won, Joo Sang-wook, Kim Min-seo, Chun Ho-jin, Kwak Do-won, and Ko Chang-seok
- Genre: Medical Drama / Romance / Comedy
- No. of Episodes: 20
- Where To Watch: Netflix / Viu
A medical drama about a surgical resident with autistic disorder and savant syndrome.
This drama is good, the story itself is very touching. It’s feel good drama with a nice ending. The cast and the acting was awesome, especially Joo Won, he will leave you speechless. The music is good and appropriate. Good Doctor deserves to be watched, so please give it a try!
Overall K-feels – It was an enjoyable and heartwarming series.
